Sound unusual for a bank audit firm to list as one of their primary services – to pray for you? This service, or better stated, this calling has been part of KS since day one.
HERE TO STAY … HERE TO PRAY! Bryan Kendrick who began KS turned 72 this year. Many have asked, “What happens to KS after Bryan?” Quick back story – in June 1990 God created KS. Yes, that’s right, created by God. KS has one founder, one owner – God Himself. Bryan was blessed by Him to receive the first call to oversee and manage this unusual ministry to bankers. And this 36 year walk thus far with people and bankers like you has been one of the most rewarding and fulfilling times of Bryan’s life. Bryan hopes, prays and plans for many more to come. Retiring does not seem to be in God’s playbook for Bryan, but continuing this ministry is.
HERE TO STAY! There will be no mergers, no “cashing in”. There will be no larger firm takeovers with upward fee adjustments. There will be no new head offices or partners in distant states, nor “too small to service any longer” clients. KS is here to continue to serve you for years to come just as we have in the past. Today, KS has 13 employees, average age of 56, and 3 regular contractors. Our younger generation represents almost 50% of our work force with an age range of 31 – 55, average age 46. Lord willing, team leaders Todd Osborn (IT), Gary Welsh (Compliance / Loan Review) and Rick Miller (BSA and ACH) have many more years with us, but are even now mentoring and training their replacements. So is true of Bryan. Bottom line, the longevity of KS is not dependent at all on the desires or presence of any person, but solely on the desires and presence of God.
HERE TO PRAY! In God’s heart, KS has always been and always will be a ministry to you and your bank - serving first your daily needs by the banking services KS provides. But it doesn’t stop there … far from it. Praying for you, your people, your Boards … serving … caring … gifting … interceding … loving – these and more we feel strongly called to do. And not just those who write us a check each month, but also those we have been blessed to serve over all these years, past and present. I believe with all my heart that God is keeping us “here to stay” because He continues to call us “here to pray” for you. No amount of money, no amount of rest, no amount of leisure could ever take the place of this ministry to you and your bank.
