Rick Miller

Mr. Miller joined Kendrick Services in 2016. Over his ten years with Kendrick Services, Rick has performed essentially all types of operation audits offered by Kendrick Services, ACH, and BSA compliance audits. Rick’s primary responsibilities now lie within the BSA and ACH compliance realms. He brings 29 years of extensive bank operations and lending background to our practice. Prior to his association with Kendrick Services, Rick was with First State Bank of Harker Heights for two years serving as SVP Loan Officer, specializing in consumer and commercial lending.

Prior to this, he served as SVP Loan Officer for 7 years for Union State Bank in Killeen. While with Union State Bank, he specialized in consumer, commercial, and home equity lending. In 2024, at the Board’s request, he also assumed the responsibility to perform “loan workouts” for a specific large loan portfolio. Also, prior to this, Rick worked for First Texas Bank in Killeen for twenty years. He started the bank as a teller and eventually served as the bank’s Vice President/Cashier for his remaining 8 years with them. While Rick primarily served in the bank’s operational and financial area, he also served four years as the bank’s Vice President of Business Development and Marketing. In this

position he was responsible for searching out and acquiring new customers, served as the bank’s liaison to the public and business communities , and developed advertising content for print, radio, and television. In the capacity of liaison, he served on several boards and committees such as the Chamber of Commerce.

In the same vein, Rick has served in roles for the Killeen Chamber of Commerce, Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Fort Hood Chapter, Chairman of the Killeen Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Killeen Program, and others. Rick is especially proud of the six years he served as Treasurer for AUSA. AUSA is a national organization founded for the sole purpose of providing care and support to Army serviceman and their families.

Rick is a Certified BSA/AML Professional (CBAP). He also has considerable experience with compliance regulations, ACH, and BSA through his years of experience and training.

Rick has an associates degree in Banking and Finance from Central Texas College. He also earned a diploma from AIB’s Foundation of Banking. During his banking career, Rick attended bank career building and certificate issuing professional schools to include:
