Ken Johnson

Mr. Johnson joined Kendrick Services in 2022.  His primary responsibilities lie within the Internal Control / Operational activities realm. Ken brings strong bank management, operations and internal audit to our practice. Prior to his retirement in June 2021, Ken served as an EVP for City State Bank of Palacios from 2001 – 2008. In 2008, Ken became President of CSB and served in that capacity until 2018. At that time, First Financial Bank, Abilene, purchased CSB and Ken served as an Executive Vice President until his retirement. Prior to this, Ken served as President of Big Lake Bank, Big Lake, TX., from 1997 – 2001 where he managed all banking activities of this community bank.

Ken began his banking career in 1971 as a Bank Auditor for Security Pacific National Bank in Los Angeles, CA. In 1973 he became the Audit Manager for Southwest Bancshares out of Houston and in 1977 advanced his auditing career to the General Auditor for Capital Bank in Houston. In 1978, Ken shifted his career path into operations and lending and served close to 20 years as a Cashier (Bank of A&M), EVP Lending (Continental National Bank El Paso) and President of several banks (Fort Hood National Bank, First National Bank Killeen, Community Bank in Granbury).

Mr. Johnson is a CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) and a Certified Bank Auditor (CBA). Ken obtained a B.B.A. in Banking and Finance from the University of North Texas, with a minor in Accounting. He also completed graduate work in Accounting from California State University in Northridge, CA.

Ken and his wife currently live in Corpus Christi.
