Gary Welsh

Mr. Welsh has been with Kendrick Services since 2020. His primary responsibilities lie within the Regulatory Compliance and Loan Review realms. Gary brings strong Bank compliance, loan review, and lending and deposit operations experience to our practice, and often assists in our Bank internal auditing endeavors specific to Gary’s expertise in lending operations.

Prior to his association with Kendrick Services, Gary served for approximately 10 years with regional accounting firms, primarily Condley & Company based in Abilene, Texas, and Coker, Wommack, & Co. which was ultimately acquired by JRBT out of Waco, Texas, managing loan review and Allowance for Loan and Lease Loss audit engagements for lending institutions (now CECL Methodology and Allowance for Credit Losses evaluations), including Banks and credit unions.

He has performed a broad spectrum of regulatory compliance audits, and internal audits for community commercial Bank clientele throughout Texas ranging from approximately $50 million to over $4 billion in total assets. Moreover, with over 20 year of experience in Banking, Gary has also served in various capacities with local independent Banks specializing in commercial real estate lending, commercial and residential construction lending, and SBA lending. Gary is also committed to applying his real estate knowledge and expertise, wherever it is necessary, having been a licensed Texas real estate broker since 1999.

Mr. Welsh is a CPA, CRCM, and CAMS. The CRCM (Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager) is a renowned certification for Compliance professionals. The CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) is also distinctive regarding BSA certifications. He obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Finance and Marketing from The University of Texas at El Paso.

Gary is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants – Austin chapter.

Gary and his wife currently reside in Austin, Texas.
